Studies of soybean maturity genes

, : Studies of soybean maturity genes. Dissertation Abstracts International, B Sciences and Engineering 45(11): 3423B

Isogenic lines in the genetic backgrounds of soyabean cultivars Clark and Harosoy were used to study the effects of maturity gene pairs E1e1, E2e2 and E3e3 in greenhouse and growth chamber experiments. E1 delayed flowering in all and maturity in most treatments to a greater extent than E2 or E3. E1 shortened the period from flowering to maturity by hastening postanthesis reproductive development.
