The silviculture of Tanzanian indigenous tree species. IV. Cephalosphaera usambarensis

, : The silviculture of Tanzanian indigenous tree species. IV. Cephalosphaera usambarensis. Tanzania Silviculture Technical Note (58): 13

C. usambarensis produces an all-purpose timber, and is the main raw material for Tanzania's plywood industry. Natural regeneration is good in about 24% of the accessible high forests of Amani and Kwamkoro. The remaining area requires either enrichment planting or artificial regeneration. Natural regeneration could be encouraged by leaving about 30 seed trees/ha standing after harvesting.
