Universal drilling discs

, : Universal drilling discs. Tekhnika v Sel' skom Khozyaistve (3): 58-59

The discs are designed to place seeds of various sizes and pelleted seeds at rates of 8-25/m. The rim has 3 rows of indentations, the outer rows being designated for large seeds (4.5-5.5 mm diam.) and pelleted seeds and the inner row for small seeds (3.5-4.5 mm diam.). Each row contains 70 indentations. Sugarbeet seeds may be sown at 8-18/m without adaption of the sprocket driving the sowing apparatus; for higher rates the gearing must be altered.
