, : Use of rumen contents of slaughtered cattle as feed. 2. Rumen contents preserved with urea in the diet of cattle. Berliner und Munchener Tierarztliche Wochenschrift 97(5): 155-162

Acceptability, tested with young bulls, was poor when preserved rumen contents were supplied alone, but improved when they were mixed with traditional feedstuffs. Intake of DM from preserved material was most, 0.49 and 0.65% of bodyweight daily, when combined with pressed beet pulp silage or cassava meal.
