Above- and below-ground growth of forest stands: a carbon budget model

, : Above- and below-ground growth of forest stands: a carbon budget model. Annals of Botany 52(4): 437-448

A model is described in which photosynthesis, respiration, assimilate partitioning among roots, stems and foliage, litterfall, root turnover and grazing are included. Simulated patterns of dry matter accumulation are discussed in relation to published data on stand development.
