The intake of different beverages including milk and tap-water, was calculated from a number of dietary surveys. In these studies most of the subjects had recorded their total dietary intake during 3 to 7 days. The participants were mainly infants and children from 4 months to 13 years old. In addition a group of lactating and non-lactating women and a small group of middle-aged men were included.
