, : Control of papaya ringspot virus by cross protection. Plant Disease 72(5): 375-380

Following a brief account of successful applications of cross protection in the control of virus diseases, details are given of the development of a mild str. of PRV, greenhouse tests of its efficacy in protecting against challenge inoculations with severe strs, method of mass inoculation of pawpaw seedlings, field trials in Hawaii and Taiwan, and large scale applications of these techniques in pawpaw orchards in Taiwan.
