Effect of calcium carbonate on the transformations of P applied from different sources under submerged conditions

, : Effect of calcium carbonate on the transformations of P applied from different sources under submerged conditions. Indian Journal of Agricultural Research 22(1): 6-12

Transformations of P applied as monocalcium phosphate, diammonium phosphate and nitrophosphate having 57.5% water soluble phosphate were studied in soil containing 0, 5 and 10% CaCO3 and incubated for 0, 1, 2 and 4 weeks under submerged conditions. With increasing periods of incubation the saloid bound P and Ca-P increased while Al-P and Fe-P decreased. Saloid-P, Al-P and Fe-P decreased and Ca-P increased with increasing levels of CaCO3.
