Effects of glyphosate on pigment biosynthesis in leaf disks of pea plants

, : Effects of glyphosate on pigment biosynthesis in leaf disks of pea plants. Weed Research, Japan 31(1): 30-35

Inhibition mechanism of pigment biosynthesis by the herbicide glyphosate was analysed using submerged leaf discs prepared from pea plants. Addition of precursors of pigment biosynthesis partially alleviated the physiological and biochemical changes induced by 0.1-10 mM glyphosate.
