Generalized disease of rabbits caused by Encephalitozoon cuniculi

, : Generalized disease of rabbits caused by Encephalitozoon cuniculi. Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 42(21): 781-784

104 rabbits (including 50 young animals) from 2 experimental stocks in the German Democratic Republic, in which the cause of death was E. cuniculi, were examined histologically. Parasitic stages were recorded in the urine and also in the faeces. Giemsa gave better results than the routinely used 'haemalaun-eosin' stain.
