Studies on seed development, physiological maturity and their relationship on seed quality in cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.)

, : Studies on seed development, physiological maturity and their relationship on seed quality in cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.). Mysore Journal of Agricultural Sciences 1987; 20(4): 339-340

The 3 varieties studied differed significantly in 100-seed weight at all maturity stages. C152, TVX183690E and S488 took 53, 52 and 46 days, respectively, to 50% flowering. Pod and seed development took another 25 days in C152 and TUX183690E and 22 days in S488.
