Weed control in sorghum

, : Weed control in sorghum. Informe Agropecuario 12(144): 43-45

The use of herbicides is cost effective only on medium to large farms with a productivity of at least 3000 kg/ha. In grain sorghum 3.5-7 litres atrazine/ha + vegetable or mineral oil early post-em. controlled annual grasses and most broadleaved weeds, and enhanced control of the resistant Euphorbia heterophylla. Grain sorghum BR-300, CMSXS 348 and X863 suffered no stand reduction from herbicides used in a preceding soyabean crop.
