Activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and content of nicotinamide coenzymes in maize hybrids and their parent lines

, : Activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and content of nicotinamide coenzymes in maize hybrids and their parent lines. Vestsi Akademii Navuk BSSR, Seriya Biyalagichnykh Navuk (5): 24-27, 123

Seedlings of the hybrids L20 X 018a, L20 X 024a and 018a X 024a, which differ in degree of heterosis for grain weight/ear, and of their parent lines were analysed at 4 and 7 days of age. The NADH/NAD ratio in 4-day-old seedlings was higher in the heterotic hybrids than in their parents, while in the non-heterotic 018a X 024a it was intermediate between the parental values.
