Contribution to the study of wild species of the genus Hedysarum L. in Algeria. II. Behaviour under experimental cultivation of 113 populations belonging to 6 annual species

, : Contribution to the study of wild species of the genus Hedysarum L. in Algeria. II. Behaviour under experimental cultivation of 113 populations belonging to 6 annual species. Annales de l' Institut National Agronomique El Harrach 12(1, T1): 220-232

Vegetative development and onset of flowering were compared in populations collected from a number of bioclimatic zones and grown under subhumid warm conditions at El-Harrach. H. flexuosum, H. coronarium and H. aculeolatum attained considerable plant spreads, in some cases up to 2.2-2.6 m. H. coronarium grew to a height of 0.65-1.00 m, compared with only 0.05-0.10 m for H. spinosissimum.
