Differential reaction of tepary bean lines to Xanthomonas campestris pv. phaseoli

, : Differential reaction of tepary bean lines to Xanthomonas campestris pv. phaseoli. HortScience 24(1): 134-137

Leaf and pod reactions of 18 Phaseolus acutifolius accessions and susceptible P. vulgaris Spinel (control) to 5 X. campestris pv. phaseoli strains of diverse origin were determined in greenhouse tests. Ten accessions expressed uniformly high pod resistance to the strains, while the other 8 showed susceptible or resistant reaction to one or more strains. On leaves 4, 6 and 8 accessions showed no, slight and moderate to severe symptoms, respectively.
