Effect of low gamma irradiation doses combined with gibberellic acid on alkaloid content of Datura

, : Effect of low gamma irradiation doses combined with gibberellic acid on alkaloid content of Datura. Annals of Agricultural Science Cairo 33(1): 501-515

D. stramonium and D. innoxia differed significantly in their responses to irradiation treatments (1000, 2000 and 4000 rad), to GA application (100, 200 and 400 p.p.m.) and to the combination of the 2 treatments. Gamma irradiation significantly increased DW and seed yield/plant and alkaloid content of the roots, whereas GA significantly increased the alkaloid contents of both roots and leaves.
