Of 46 varieties studied during 1983-85, the best for root yield were Aumora (among typical fodder types) and Favorit (among semisugar types), for dry matter yield/unit area Gloriant and Favorit, for chemical composition Tetrose and Monorosa, for suitability for mechanized cultivation Monovert and Monoblanc and for keeping quality and resistance to bolting and black leg Aumora and Favorit.
