New carrot cultivars for early production under plastic

, : New carrot cultivars for early production under plastic. Gartneryrket 79(2): 10-11

In 1987 and 1988, cultivars Napoli, Tourino, Castino, Marimba, Doceur, Panther and Facet were included with the standard cultivar Nanthya in comparative trials under plastic, at 12 sites in 6 areas. When roots of one cultivar had reached an acceptable size, all cultivars were harvested and mean root weights compared. Fourteen days later a second harvest was taken. Cultivar potential was recorded on a 1-9 scale (9 = best).
