Phytosociology and population structure of oak-mixed conifer forest in a part of Kumaun Himalaya

, : Phytosociology and population structure of oak-mixed conifer forest in a part of Kumaun Himalaya. Environment and Ecology 5(3): 475-487

An analysis was made of the forests of the Government House site near Naini Tal, Uttar Pradesh. The site was divided into 8 compartments and phytosociological analysis showed that it represented 3 major forest types: Quercus floribunda forest (dominant species Q. floribunda and Q. leucotrichophora), mixed oak-conifer forest (dominant species Q. floribunda and Cupressus torulosa) and Cedrus deodara forest (dominant species C. deodara and Q. floribunda).
