, : Results to date on the introduction of Metasequoia glyptostroboides in Bulgaria. Gorskostopanska Nauka 24(3): 33-42

Details are given of the performance of several individual trees and small groups growing in the Sofia and Plovdiv regions. The oldest trees are 32 yr old. The percentage germination of pollen and seeds is very low, but the rooting of mature cuttings is good (ca. 70%). The mean ht. of 2-year seedlings is over 140 cm, and the ht. of 32-yr-old trees averages 20 m (max. 26 m).
