With a view to discussing the CAP, its economic and social implications and the socio-structural back up measures implemented or planned to assist the different groups of workers in the sector, three topics are considered: (1) employment and working conditions of agricultural workers in the EC; (2) vocational training for agricultural workers: basic training, problems and possible improvements, the role of the EC and structural funds; and (3) health and safety in agriculture.
