The UK long haul market

, : The UK long haul market. Travel and Tourism Analyst ( 1): 42-53

The UK long haul market is growing steadily, from a total of 557 000 holidays in 1976 to over 2 million in 1988. An increase in disposable incomes and a decrease in the real cost of travelling and staying in long haul resorts, longer average holiday entitlement and greater media coverage of distant and exotic locations have all contributed to this growth.
