Leaf explants of Nicotiana tabacum Samsun, cotyledon explants of Gossypium arboreum and tuber explants of Solanum tuberosum Vesna were successfully transformed with the octopine A. tumefaciens strain 1058 (of 4 strains tested) carrying the binary vector Bin19.
