Use of a neem product in insecticide resistance management (IRM) in cotton

, : Use of a neem product in insecticide resistance management (IRM) in cotton. Pesticides Bombay 22(4): 36-37

The efficacy of 0.5 and 0.4% Neemark (a herbal extract of neem), 1% water extract of neem, 0.1% endosulfan and 0.0125% fenvalerate against whitefly and Heliothis on cotton was investigated in Marathwada, India, in 1987. Six sprays of all 5 treatments were given at intervals of 15 days. Neemark at 0.4% was as effective as endosulfan in controlling both pests, while Neemark at 0.5% was more effective than fenvalerate in controlling B. tabaci.
