A cranial neuropathy associated with multicentric lymphosarcoma in a dog

, : A cranial neuropathy associated with multicentric lymphosarcoma in a dog. Veterinary Record 127(21): 525-526

A case of bilateral trigeminal nerve dysfunction in a 5-year-old male Rottweiler dog with a diffuse lymphosarcoma is described. The dog was presented with a 'dropped' jaw and bilateral keratitis following a bout of diarrhoea and vomiting. Treatment with oral prednisolone and dexamethasone eye drops produced an improvement in the keratitis but significant atrophy of the muscles of mastication developed within 7 days.
