, : A new product for the treatment of certain bacterial diseases of swine. Magyar Allatorvosok Lapja 45(3): 159-163

In 1989 Vetricin, a new broad-spectrum antibacterial product for prevention and treatment of certain bacterial diseases of pigs (atrophic rhinitis, E. coli infections, streptococcosis, staphylococcosis, swine dysentery, haemophilosis) was put on market. The active ingredients of the preparation (carbadox, chloroquinaldol, oxytetracycline) have a combined effect. MIC value of the preparation is 0.2 to 6.25 and the MBC values vary between 0.4 to 25.0 micro g/ ml for the different microorganisms.
