A review of parasites, pathogens and predators of cattle grubs

, : A review of parasites, pathogens and predators of cattle grubs. Southwestern Entomologist, 153: 360-365

Very few reports have been published on the activity of natural enemies against the non-parasitic, free-living stages of Hypoderma lineatum and H. bovis. Since emerged larvae and pupae of Hypoderma spp. are rarely encountered in nature, the absence of recorded biological activity limiting cattle grub populations and distribution may be due more to the scarcity of specimens than to the lack of activity itself.
