, : Analysis of net product in Swiss tourism: value enhanced by 75%!. STV Bulletin ( 5): 6-7

A recent study of tourism in Switzerland carried out by BIGA indicates that the sector's position and importance within the Swiss economy are growing and are considerably greater than has been estimated by previous analyses. For example, in 1989, total demand in Swiss tourism was valued at between FS 32 000 million and FS 34 000 million, compared to an estimate of around FS 18 600 million, a difference of some 75%.
