BIOCLIM - a bioclimate analysis and prediction system

, : BIOCLIM - a bioclimate analysis and prediction system. Plant Protection Quarterly, 61: 8-9

The bioclimate analysis and prediction system BIOCLIM is described. The system can be used to map the distribution of any entity, including pest species, and provide climate analyses and predicted distributions of that entity in Australia. In the case of pest species, this facilitates focusing of suppression efforts on areas where the species is most likely to spread rapidly or areas where there is a high predicted probability of finding additional populations of the species.
