Changes in solubility and availability of monocalcium phosphate in sandy soils

, : Changes in solubility and availability of monocalcium phosphate in sandy soils. Agrokemia es Talajtan 40(1-2): 153-164

Monocalcium phosphate solutions (0-160 mg P/kg) were added to sandy soil samples. After incubation for up to 6 months, maize was grown on these samples for one month. Soil phosphorus decreased with increasing incubation period, but plant growth improved with longer incubation, however. This is attributed to the soil's Zn supply and the plant's Zn uptake increasing as the soil fixed more P.
