Degradation of soils of the experimental unit of Ticoporo (Barinas, Venezuela)

, : Degradation of soils of the experimental unit of Ticoporo (Barinas, Venezuela). Revista Forestal Venezolana 1990; ( 32): 55-71

Chemical, physical and biological degradation of soils of the title area were evaluated by the FAO provisional methodology for soil degradation assessment. Results show a high risk of water erosion in 40.9% of the area studied. The risk of biological and chemical degradation was very high and high to very high, respectively, in 72.5% of the area. Risk of physical degradation was low or negligible.
