Dieback of oak stands in Krotoszynska Pyta

, : Dieback of oak stands in Krotoszynska Pyta. Las Polski ( 22): 14-15

An account of oak dieback in this important forest complex SE of Poznan, Poland, caused primarily by the fungus Ceratocystis (especially C. fagacearum). Some 30 000 trees died during 1981-85, with the drought of 1982-83 playing a major role in weakening trees and increasing their susceptibility.
