Dietary intakes of some essential and non-essential trace elements, nitrate, nitrite and N-nitrosamines, by Dutch adults: estimated via a 24-h duplicate portion study

, : Dietary intakes of some essential and non-essential trace elements, nitrate, nitrite and N-nitrosamines, by Dutch adults: estimated via a 24-h duplicate portion study. Food Additives and Contaminants 7(2): 207-221

In 1976 and 1978 about 100 persons in the Netherlands collected a duplicate of everything they ate and drank during 24 h. Similar samples were collected in October 1984 and March 1985 by 110 persons during 1 week. Mean daily intake of copper was 1.2 mg about 50% of recommended value. Intake for manganese (3.3 mg) and zinc (8.4 mg) were adequate and marginal, respectively. Intakes of aluminium, cadmium, mercury and lead were 3.1, 0.01, 0.002 and 0.034 mg.
