Fatty acid nutrition of young male cattle

, : Fatty acid nutrition of young male cattle. Zootekhniya ( 4): 33-35

Short-chain fatty acids (C5 to C12) added to the diet of male calves 1 to 3 months old favourably affected body weight gain, oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production, heat production, activities in blood and testes of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, succinate dehydrogenase, acetylcholine esterase and cytochrome oxidase, and erythropoiesis.
