Fertilisation of Pinus radiata on some marginal sites in the Southern Cape

, : Fertilisation of Pinus radiata on some marginal sites in the Southern Cape. South African Forestry Journal ( 154): 36-40

The response of Pinus radiata to phosphate application was highly significant on sites with shallow clay soils. Sites with stony soils showed a smaller response. Growth improvement due to fertilisation was found to be profitable at the age of 12 years.
