Influence of the environment during seed development on the morphology and growth rate of soybean seedlings

, : Influence of the environment during seed development on the morphology and growth rate of soybean seedlings. Botanical Gazette Chicago 152(1): 59-63

Soyabean Fiskeby V seeds were germinated at 20 degrees C and then grown at either 18 or 25 degrees until mature seeds were produced. The seedlots were then compared in field trials at Beltsville and in controlled environment experiments at day/night temp. regimes of 18/18, 25/18 or 25/25 degrees. Mean seed size and emergence rate did not differ between seedlots.
