Observations on single tree height growth prediction models for conifers

, : Observations on single tree height growth prediction models for conifers. Italia Forestale e Montana 45(2): 148-168

Results are presented and discussed of growth models developed using data from two forest stands in Trento, N. Italy (192 Norway spruce (Picea abies) and silver fir (Abies alba) trees from an even-aged stand with 30% Larix sp.; and 209 P. abies trees from an uneven-aged stand of 95% P. abies). Important variables were total tree height, age at end of the growing period and diameter increment, followed by phytosociology (whether dominant, intermediate or dominated), site factors and species.
