, : Observations on two Rhabdochona species (Nematoda: Rhabdochonidae) from freshwater fishes in Iraq, including description of R. similis sp. n. Folia Parasitologica (Ceske Budejovice): 383: 235-243

Two species of the genus Rhabdochona, R. similis sp. nov. and R. denudata denudata, are reported for the first time from freshwater fishes from Iraq. R. similis sp. nov. (type host Glyptothorax sp., other host Barbus luteus) is characterized largely by the presence of a markedly large prostom armed with 14 anterior teeth and without basal teeth, a small spicule without the usual dorsal barb, and filamented eggs.
