Reaction of sunflower hybrids in comparison with varieties to agronomic measures of cultivation

, : Reaction of sunflower hybrids in comparison with varieties to agronomic measures of cultivation. Vestnik Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Nauki Moskva ( 2): 103-108

In the Rostov province of European Russia, the hybrids Pochin and Odesskii 91 were compared with the varietal population Peredovik Uluchshennyi under different soil temperature regimes (sowing dates). With early sowing the growth period of the hybrids was 4-7 days shorter than in the variety, but with late sowing the difference in growth period was not apparent. It appeared that the variety was more adaptable than the hybrids.
