Research note: preliminary results on the identification of Pyrenophora species using DNA polymorphisms amplified from arbitrary primers

, : Research note: preliminary results on the identification of Pyrenophora species using DNA polymorphisms amplified from arbitrary primers. Plant Varieties and Seeds 4(3): 185-189

DNA was extracted from 5 isolates of P. graminea, 2 isolates of P. teres f.sp. teres and 1 isolate of P. teres f.sp. maculata and amplified by the polymerase chain reaction using 4 primers. Differing levels of polymorphism were found within a single template DNA. One primer was able to differentiate between isolates of Pyrenophora species.
