Research on some monitoring methods to determine the infestation of arthropods in a flour mill

, : Research on some monitoring methods to determine the infestation of arthropods in a flour mill. Frustula Entomologica 1989; 10: 153-180

The efficacy of pheromone traps, bait traps and refuge traps for detecting insects in a flour mill in Italy was evaluated. A list of the species captured is provided. It was concluded that pheromone traps were effective for monitoring Lepidoptera such as the pyralid Ephestia cautella. For other insects, the results varied depending on the season and the species. The 3 trap types were complementary in their results.
