Response of 'Murcott' mandarins to storage temperature

, : Response of 'Murcott' mandarins to storage temperature. Advances in Horticultural Science 5(3): 99-103

Research into the effects of different cold storage conditions on fruits of the cultivar Murcott showed the best results with storage at a constant 6 degrees C or 6 degrees for 6 days + 14 degrees for 1 day. Longer or lower temperature cycles (6 degrees for 18 days + 14 degrees for 7 days; 2 degrees for 18 days + 14 degrees for 7 days; 2 degrees for 6 days + 14 degrees for 1 day) caused greater chilling injury and higher weight loss.
