Soil solarization in a plastic house

, : Soil solarization in a plastic house. FAO Plant Production and Protection Paper ( 109): 266-275

Soil solarization trials to control Verticillium dahliae, Pyrenochaeta lycopersici and Meloidogyne spp. on aubergines were carried out during summer 1987 in a plastic house treated before and after covering. The effects of 30- and 50-d solarization periods and fumigation with methyl bromide were compared with the controls. Climatic, agronomic and phytopathological parameters were recorded during the growing season.
