Studies on factors affecting spawn production and growth of 5 A. brunnescens strains on different available agricultural wastes are reported. Three culture media (malt extract agar, potato dextrose agar and wheat extract agar) with various carbon and nitrogen sources were evaluated for mycelial growth. Spawn was prepared using boiled wheat grain with different quantities of gypsum and lime.
