Testing a strategy of growth and yield control in greenhouse cucumbers in a specialized vegetable-growing farm

, : Testing a strategy of growth and yield control in greenhouse cucumbers in a specialized vegetable-growing farm. Acta Horticulturae ( 260): 123-136

In 1988 the Wilhelm Wolff cooperative farm developed a strategy for the optimization of air temperatures in greenhouses based on a yield formation model. The optimal temperature was calculated for a fixed CO2 concentration of 800 p.p.m. without ventilation and for a concentration of 500 p.p.m. when the greenhouse was ventilated. Optimal temperatures were fixed for periods of 9 days to take into account the actual temperature and yield curves.
