Three treatments recommended for groundnut culture in Senegal: nematicidal treatment, inoculation of seed with selected Rhizobium and provision of phosphogypsum

, : Three treatments recommended for groundnut culture in Senegal: nematicidal treatment, inoculation of seed with selected Rhizobium and provision of phosphogypsum. Oleagineux Paris 46(5): 197-207

A series of trials were carried out in 1987-89 in northern Senegal with the aim of improving groundnut yields. In every case soils were treated with DBCP (at 9 kg/ha in 1989) against nematode infection. Addition of phosphogypsum, nitrogen (urea) to NPK fertilizers greatly improved productivity.
