A new species for the Italian ixodid fauna. II. Ixodes arboricola Schulze and Schlottke, 1929

, : A new species for the Italian ixodid fauna. II. Ixodes arboricola Schulze and Schlottke, 1929. Parassitologia Roma 33(2/3): 175-181

Larvae and nymphs of I. (Pholeoixodes) arboricola were collected off a common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus phoenicurus) in the Gran Sasso d'Italia (Abruzzo province) during September 1988. Other material, which had earlier been collected off house sparrows (Passer domesticus italiae) and originally thought to be I. canisuga, was also identified as I. arboricola.
