Liberalization can be a move in the right direction for the whole of the Indian economy and agriculture in its present state of development. It needs to be used as a strategy to shift the focus of government policies and concerns from helping and subsidizing the organized parts of the economy, which are now viable enough to operate on their own, to building up the economy and society in the vast unorganized parts lacking development and remaining backward.
