Assessment of provenance variation in growth and P uptake of Faidherbia albida grown at low levels of phosphate

, : Assessment of provenance variation in growth and P uptake of Faidherbia albida grown at low levels of phosphate. Nitrogen Fixing Tree Research Reports 8: 133-135

A collection of Faidherbia (Acacia) albida provenances from throughout Africa was evaluated in a glasshouse pot trial at the International Atomic Energy Agency Laboratory at Siebersdorf, Austria. Seeds were scarified before sowing and inoculated with Rhizobium. Treatments also included 2 dosages of P (20 and 80 mg P/kg soil) as KH2PO4. Growth, P uptake and nodulation of seedlings were evaluated at 12 wk old.
