Biological control of Hoplocampa testudinea Klug. (Hymenoptera, Tenthredinidae)

, : Biological control of Hoplocampa testudinea Klug. (Hymenoptera, Tenthredinidae). Acta Phytopathologica et Entomologica Hungarica 27(1-4): 311-315

The pathogenicity of 8 species of entomogenous fungi and nematodes to 5th-instar larvae of Hoplocampa testudinea was studied in laboratory and field experiments in Poland. In the laboratory, the fungi Paecilomyces fumosoroseus, P. farinosus, Aspergillus flavus and Cephalosporium lecanii caused 100% mortality of the larvae. In the field the larvae were parasitized by nematodes of the families Mermithidae, Rhabditidae and Heterorhabditidae and by ichneumonid wasps.
